Mary Abigail Abby Wambach (born June 2, 1980) is an American retired soccer player, coach, two-time Olympic gold medalist and FIFA Womens World Cup champion. A six-time winner of the U.S. Soccer Athlete of the Year award, Wambach was a regular on the U.S. womens national soccer team from 2003 to 2015, earning her first cap in 2001. As a forward, she currently stands as the highest all-time goal scorer for the national team and holds the world record for international goals for both female and male soccer players with 184 goals. Wambach was awarded the 2012 FIFA World Player of the Year, becoming the first American woman to win the award in ten years. She was included on the 2015 Time 100 list as one of the most influential people in the world.

Rafael Márquez Álvarez (born 13 February 1979) is a Mexican footballer who plays for and captains both Mexican club Atlas and the Mexico national team. He can play as a central defender, sweeper, or defensive midfielder. He is widely regarded as the best defender in Mexicos history and one of the best Mexican players of all time. Márquez has been described as elegant on the ball, dependable in the air and skillful coming out of defense. Although considered one of the best Mexican footballers of all time, Márquez is also seen as a controversial figure in the Mexican media for certain questionable decisions he has made on the field.

Robin van Persie (Dutch pronunciation: (ˈrɔbɪn vɑn ˈpɛrsi); born 6 August 1983) is a Dutch professional footballer who also played for the Netherlands national team.
After representing the Netherlands at under-17, under-19 and under-21 level, van Persie made his senior international debut in 2005 in a friendly match against Romania. A month later, he scored his first senior international goal in a 4–0 win over Finland. Van Persie has over 100 caps and has scored 50 goals for the Netherlands, making him their top scorer of all time. He has represented his country at the 2006, 2010 and 2014 FIFA World Cups, and the 2008 and 2012 UEFA European Championships.

Marcos Danilo Padilha (31 July 1985 – 29 November 2016), simply known as Danilo, was a Brazilian footballer who last played for Chapecoense as a goalkeeper. Initially one of the survivors of LaMia Airlines Flight 2933 who crashed on 28 November 2016, Danilo died at the hospital in La Ceja, Colombia the following day.

Jürgen Klinsmann, born 30 July 1964) is a German football manager and former player. As a player, Klinsmann played for several prominent clubs in Europe and was part of the West German team that won the 1990 FIFA World Cup and the unified German team that won the 1996 UEFA European Championship. One of Germany’s premier strikers during the 1990s, he scored in all six major international tournaments he participated in, from Euro 1988 to 1998 World Cup. In 1995 he came in third in the FIFA World Player of the Year award; in 2004 he was named in the FIFA 100 list of the 125 Greatest Living Footballers.
