Plot: Set in the present, the series offers a bold, subversive take on Archie, Betty, Veronica and their friends, exploring the surreality of small-town life, the darkness and weirdness bubbling beneath Riverdale’s wholesome facade. Based on the “Archie” comics, the new drama paints the classic small town as a hotbed of illicit romance and murder.
The new series of Riverdale was released in 2017 and Ashleigh Murray, Camila Mendes, Cole Sprouse, KJ Apa, Lili Reinhart and Luke Perry play the lead parts. The genre of Riverdale is Drama, Mystery.
