A pallet is a transport unit

A pallet is usually of wood (and sometimes of plastics) and is a plateau on which goods can be stored and transported. Often a pallet is moved with a (fork) engineer or a pump truck. The largest part of Europe uses a format of 80x120cm (and is also called the Euro Pallet), but the United Kingdom keeps the size 100x120cm. The euro pallets have a deposit value (about 10 euro) and can be recognized by the bobbins under the pallet. The bobbins state of the Euro and the name of the manufacturer. These pallets can only be made by approved companies. The maximum weight of a euro pallet is 2000kg.
