A lamprey is the young of a rabbit
Lamprey seems to come from the old Iberian word "Lappa". The has the meaning of cave or hollow. The Rabbit (Animal living in caves) would have been named so. Newly born Bunnies don't have a coat yet, their eyes are closed and they don't hear anything.
