CGN means Center for Genetic Resources Netherlands
On behalf of the Dutch Government, CGN carries out statutory research tasks related to the genetic diversity (and identity) of species of interest to agriculture and forestry. The CGN also carries out project assignments for the government, but also for third parties (national and European). Genetic diversity is necessary for adaptations to new diseases, a changing climate or new wishes of the consumer. This diversity is declining globally, and CGN is strongly committed to attracting more diversity. More information about the CGN can be read on this website.
