Drifting is a gambling
Kienen is a game where each player has a form with numbers. The numbers may be ticked off when the number is drawn (the play leader draws a number and reads it). Kienen is often organized in local houses and in sports canteens to collect extra money. The person who is the first to be able to strip all the numbers is the winner and wins the prize. In the past, the game was mainly played by older people, but nowadays you can also play online and money winner, making it more popular among the youth. Often, bingo is referred to as another word for the same game, but this is not correct because there are some differences between drifting and bingo. Some basic differences between these two games:
- Kienen has 6 tables with 9 columns and 3 rows of
bingo has 3 tables with 5 columns and 5 rows. (There are also smaller cards, then there are other numbers) - At Driften you play the whole evening with the same card, with bingo there is a new card after each game
- Kienen has 90 numbers, bingo 75
