A walker is a walking tool
Many elderly people need a walker to be able to move forward by a physical disability. The walker was invented in 1978 by someone who was handicapped (by polio): Aina Wifalk. Usually a walker is built of a (lightweight) steel tubular frame with 4 or 3 wheels with rubber tyres. There are 2 grips with brakes that can be secured. Often there is also a shopping basket, and a session on which you can rest. Most rollators are foldable. Since 2013, the Walker is no longer included in the basic package of health insurance.
