What does IDFA mean?

IDFA means International Documentary Film Festival Amsterdam

The IDFA was founded in 1988 with the aim of stimulating the (national and international) documentary culture. Meanwhile, the IDFA is the largest documentary film festival in the world with more than 2,500 film guests and 180,000 visitors. Each year the festival takes place in November in Amsterdam and a number of prizes are awarded. The organization of the IDFA is looking for documentaries that are interesting or innovative in the film field, which makes the viewer think and are relevant to society.
