Spotify is a music service
Sotify was founded in 2006 by Daniel Ek and Mark Lorentzn and is the combination of Spot and Identify. The Swedish company wants to say that you hear and identify a song with Spotify. Spotify has a database of millions of songs that you can listen to as a stream. Since May 2010, Spotify is also officially available in the Netherlands. With the free version you can listen for 20 hours of music, after that you will have to move on to a paid account (4.99 per month or 9.99 per month, where you can listen to the mobile). Listening to the music goes with the Spotify music player, with which you can listen to music but also create playlists. More information and downloads on the Spotify site.
