What does BVO mean?

BVO means move-friendly environment

A BVO is an environment that encourages (and facilitates) people to move. It is an environment with facilities in the public space where people can move, exercise, play and move. For a BVO, there are dri points of interest:

  • Space: There must be a location that is moving friendly, you can think of a square, park, sports accommodation, cycle paths, etc.
  • Activities: Activities must be organised in these areas. Here you should think of a game afternoon, a neighborhood gathering, a tournament, etc.
  • Organisation: This ensures that the activities on the space are organized. This can also mean that the space needs to be adjusted temporarily or forever to make it fit.
