Ascension is a Christian feast
On Ascension Day, it is commemorated that the body of Jesus Christ is ascended to God in heaven. Ascension is 40 days after Easter, 10 days after that it is Pentecost. Because the date of Easter is not the same every year, Ascension is not always on the same date (it is always on a Thursday). In a distant past one went on Ascension Day at 3 o'clock in the morning walking, dancing and singing, with bare feet through the grass. This is also called dew traps (some regions use the term celestial fern).
