LSO means Limburg Symphony Orchestra

The LSO has been in existence since 1883 and is one of the oldest professional symphony orchestras in the Netherlands. The LSO has more than 100 performances Per season and occupies an important place within the cultural life of the province. The orchestra also provides accompaniments at Opera Zuid and collaborates with various choirs. The orchestra plays not only in the province of Limburg but also regularly on other venues in the Netherlands and Europe. In 2008, more than 90,000 visitors visited the orchestra's various performances. In recent years there has been work on the artistic development, with which a larger audience was reached.
