NCC means national Crisis Center
The NCC is responsible for coherence in decision-making in a crisis (or threatened crisis) for the safety of citizens. The idea of security has changed in many people in recent years. The crisis organisation cooperates intensively with departmental crisis centres. The government has to operate as 1 organization during a crisis, hence the NCC has been established. But even in a less large crisis, NCC does its job: at the Strooizouttekkorten and the volcanic ash cloud that suspended the air traffic, the NCC came into action.
