Primitive means original/simple
Primitive is often used to indicate that something is old-fashioned, or very simple. For example, a primitive weapon is an old spear, or a primitive people is also used to indicate that a new tribe of Indians has been discovered somewhere in the Amazon. Usually the term is used in a somewhat negative way, one indicates that it is simple/simple.
