What does QP mean?

QP means Qualified Person

The term QP is a well-known term within the (European) pharmaceutical industry: The QP is the ultimate responsible for medicines that enter the human (or animal). A QP is recognized by the IGZ and is indicated on a manufacturer license. As QP-you have to meet a number of European requirements, as well as those rules of the Dutch Geneesmiddelenwet. The QP declares, by releasing the medicines produced, that they comply with all requirements as set out in the GMP guidelines and legislations.
