RDS means Radio Data System
RDS is a system that transmits data (transmitter name, traffic information, news messages, etc.) with an FM broadcast signal. In traffic information, a radio station broadcasts a RDS TA/TP signal. For example, the receiver can pause the CD player and switch to the radio with the traffic information. If that is over again it switches back.
