RFID is simply said to be no more than a way of identifying products or goods using tags. These tags are small chips that are roughly similar to barcodes, but can generate a radio signal with an identification code. Low frequency radio signals are used to communicate between a chip and a reader. The range of this technique is at most a few centimeters.
