What does ripe mean?

Ripe are ice crystals on objects

Ripe (sometimes also called rhyme) is a ice accretion on objects and arises when the air temperature drops below the 0Â °c and the present water vapour directly sublimes on the plants, soil or other objects, causing a white layer to be formed. Ripe is often visible on grass, roofs and cars, depending on the humidity of the air and the temperature, forms of needles, impellers or feathers arise.
