What does SER mean?

SER means socio-economic Council

The SER advises the Dutch government on the main lines of the policy to be implemented (socio). The SER is an advisory body of entrepreneurs, employees and independent experts. The SER wants to contribute to social agreement on national and international issues in socio-economic matters. The SER strives for quality and support: high expertise in combination with broadly supported agreement and aid in society.

The budget of the SER is almost around € 15 million a year. This amount does not include the chambers of commerce, the market boards and the business chaps.
