What does SOA mean?

SOA means Service Oriented architectures

SOA is a collection of services that communicate with each other. The services are independent and do not depend on the status of the other services. SOA offers the opportunity to think about information flows at a higher level of abstraction, without worrying about the technical details. A service has a number of tasks, and there are clear agreements on how to use the service. There is a clear separation between implementation and interface (it also does not matter to the user of the service whether the service is running on JAVA or under C++ for example).
