UPO means Universal pension overview
The UPO is a pension review that has been standardised for all pension providers since 2008. It gives the recipient insight into the current but also the future pension situation. The overview consists of A.O. From:
- A declaration of the pension entitlements already acquired
- A declaration of the claims to be reached
- Information on the surcharge
- A declaration of the waardeaangroei of the preceding calendar year (also called Factor A)
Most pension providers already gave a similar task, but they often differed. Because of the uniformity, pensions can be better compared and understood. From 2011, there will be a national pension register in which everyone can see their own complete overview.
