It is a intestinal bacterium that occurs in many people, and also occurs in food. Like many bacteria &eeuml; N, the restrained bacteria is mainly spread through the hands. Only people with a (strong) decreased resistance can lead this restrained bacteria into an infection. The bacterium occurs in people who are sent, and therefore has little influence. When this bacterium occurs in sick people it can therefore lead to an infection, hence it is annoying when the bacterium is found in a hospital. The treatment is made more difficult because the common antibiotics have no effect on the bacterium.
