WFT means law on financial supervision
The WFT regulates the supervision of the Financiëe institutions in the Netherlands and entered into force in 2007. The law brought together rules and regulations for the financial markets (and the supervision thereof). With the creation of the WFT, 8 toezichtswetten have been replaced. The objectives of the WFT are:
- Transparency
- targeting;
- Market orientation
The AFM and the DNB are supervisors of the WFT.
