What is Arduino?

Arduino is an open-source electronics platform

Arduino is a programmable microcontroller with input and output ports. On these ports you can connect all kinds of sensors. Here you can think of a temperature sensor, a motion detector, a light sensor or a switch. In addition, you can also connect actors such as an LED, an electro motor or a relay. In addition to these sensors, there are shields: these integrate different sensors and modules into one circuit board that can be easily connected to the Arduino. These shields are often sold as sealants, so they still need to be soldered.
