A Regent is a driver

A Regent (or regent) is a driver acting on behalf of another person (or persons). For a long time the term regent was prevalent for directors (or members of the boards) of religious institutions. In Belgium, the title is still used for the members of an advisory body of the national Bank. In the Netherlands, Kings Maxima is designated as regent, but can become the driver of the country as long as the throne Opvolgster is still a minor.
