PRINCE2 is a project management method
PRINCE2 stands for Projects IN controlled environments and is a structured method for project management and was developed by the British Cabinet Office in 1996. In the development it has been investigated what the success criteria (and failure criteria) of project management are, these ' best practices ' have had an update in 2002, 2005 and 2009. These updates prove that the method is not an old-fashioned method that stands still but takes into account developments of this time. PRINCE2 helps to interact with the environment, ensures stakeholder support and describes the process of the project from start to finish. The goal of PRINCE2 is simple: To successfully run a project, where success can be explained as the delivery of what has been agreed. PRINCE2 goes further and also looks at whether the agreed-upon is sufficient, and whether the project is a success if the project has ended.
