Field hockey is a game played on the field where you use a stick and ball. The sport became popular in England and spread to Europe at the end of the 1800’s. Nowadays it is popular around the world and a lot of people call it hockey instead of field hockey. It mostly depends on which is the bigger sport in the country: ice hockey or field hockey.

In the early years, the field hockey stick was made of a single piece of wood and quite stubborn. In the modern age there are field hockey sticks from all kinds of material, like fibreglass or carbon fibre for example. There are plenty of options the choose form and in all price ranges. Of course there is a different stick for someone who just started and someone who has years of experience, or is simple very tall or small.
