The expression ' Going Dutch ' is used when in a group each pays for itself. Think of a dinner with 8 friends, but each pays loose his own account. Sometimes ' going Dutch ' is also used when the total account is divided by 8. Often it is perceived as negative, and it is also used when one goes on a date.
