What does HPL mean?

HPL means Home pulsed Light

HPL is the home version of IPL (Intense pulsed Light) and is a hair removal system. Both IPL and HPL use the same principle: your hair is exposed to the light flites of a Xenon lamp, it is a beam of lights consisting of different wavelengths. By the light pigent in the hair root is converted into warmth, this warmth destroys the hair root. If a hair root does not have enough pigment, it cannot be destroyed, so the best result can be seen in light skin with dark hair. Hairs grow in different phases, and not every stage can be addressed with HPL or IPL. Several sessions are needed, in order to be able to capture the different phases.
