What does KCA mean?

KCA means small chemical waste

KCA is hazardous waste from households and must be returned separately from the normal household waste. Common KCA is, for example, remnants of paint, a fluorescent tube, lamps oil. Not all KCA are dangerous, often fall medicines and injection needles also under KCA. A municipality is free to determine how the KCA is collected, but is obliged to do it separately from the normal waste. Often this goes through a regional KCA-depot, or a chemocar that collects door-to-door all the KCA. For an indication of what is and is not covered by KCA, please see a list of the housing.
