NSS means Nuclear Security Summit
The 1st nuclear Security Summit was in 2010 in Washington, where the goal was to call at the highest level for the security of nuclear materials (and in this way prevent nuclear terrorism). At this Summit 47 countries and 3 (international) organisations were present, at the 2nd summit in Seoul there were 53 countries and 4 organisations. At the 1st Summit, political agreements were made, the second was the progress of this. The 3rd summit in 2014 will go over the posted results and the future. The 3rd summit is in March 2014 in The Hague.
