What does Olympic Games mean?

The Olympic Games are an international sporting event

There are 2 different Olympic Games: Summer Games and Winter Games. These student Olympic Games are held since 1896, and originated from antiquity, when they were held in the Greek town of Olympia every four years. At the beginning the Summer Games were held in the same year as the Winter Games, in 1994 it was decided to exchange these games, so that every 2 years an Olympic Games is held.

The International Olympic Committee © (IOC) is at the head of the Olympic movement and is based in Switzerland. It encourages sport for everyone, and owns all the rights of the Organization, images, etc. Of the Olympic Games.
