VSO means continued special education
The VSO education is especially for young people with disorder or disability. The VSO schools are there in 4 types (also called clusters):
- Blind and visually impaired youngsters
- Deaf or hearing impaired youngsters (also for youngsters with a language Spraakprobleem).
- Young people with intellectual or physical disability.
- Young people with psychiatric or behavioural problems.
Within the VSO it is possible to follow the practice stream, this is for pupils who are difficult to learn. It is a trajectory for young people who are unable to obtain a diploma at the level of the secondary school.
