What is capitalism?

Capitalism is a political-economic system

The emphasis of capitalism lies with the individual and private property. The European domination during the 19th century brought more and more economies under the influence of capitalism worldwide. Nowadays capitalism is the predominant economic system in most drawers. Capitalists are in favour of a free market, which means that the inhabitants of a capitalist country are free in the making of prices of products. Capitalism assumes that citizens have great freedom (civil rights that protect the individual and restrict the power of the state and church).
