What does levelling mean?

Leveling means reducing income gaps

Words like equalizing, or matching are also often referred to as leveling. It is a question of reducing the size of large differences. It is often a question of money, and it is often the case that people who have more income also have to pay more tax. The difference between large incomes and lower incomes then becomes smaller. Governments are often based on the principle of equality, and are therefore going to level. It is in any case a means of government to transfer the prosperity of a country to weaker groups. The idea is often to stimulate the economy: there is a chance that consumption will increase. But also in the field of training you can level, or when a contractor makes the ground equal (even) it is about leveling.
