SIOD means social intelligence and investigation service
The SIOD has existed from 2002 to 2011, then has been instilled in the inspection SWZ (along with labor inspection and inspection work and income. The main objective of the SIOD is to combat criminal entrepreneurship. It does not only track criminal offences but also eliminates the underlying structures and networks. This has a preventive effect, which prevents these offences from occurring in the future. The SIOD works together with other institutions such as the police and the FIOD.
