A lector is someone who holds a lecture

Lector (or Lectrice) is a specific title in different countries and religions. A lecturer was a lecturer at a university with an official rank that was just below that of professor. From 1980 onwards, all lecturers were collectively appointed as professors (except if you objected). A single objection and remained lector. In higher vocational education The function Lector was created in 2001/2002. A lector often has its own chair or teaching mission and initiates practice-oriented research into issues that live in the business community or society. The team of experts from the practice and the teachers (the lecturer) do this, and as a lector you are the bridge between education and practice.
